Christoph Waltz injured on Django Unchained set

Inglourious Basterds Oscar winner Christoph Waltz has reportedly injured himself by falling from a horse while training for the spaghetti Western Django Unchained.

Django Unchained is from iconic film maker Quentin Tarantino and sees Waltz as a bounty hunter aiding an escaped slave on a rescue mission and according to a spokesperson "Christoph Waltz was injured while training with his horse in preparation for his role, he is currently being treated for a dislocated pelvic bone."

According to WENN the injury has forced him to pull out of a promotional appearance at the New York Film Festival.

Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L Jackson and the newly recruited Laura Cayoutte and 80's legend Kurt Russell.

Shooting begins soon and the film is expected in cinemas on Christmas Day next year.
