Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld set to return to James Bond as a reoccurring villain against Daniel Craig’s 007

04 January 2016

It looks as though we haven’t seen the last of Christoph Waltz’s Spectre villain Franz Oberhauser with word that bosses want him as a recurring enemy of Bond.

However according to the Daily Star, Waltz will only reprise the role if Daniel Craig also returns as James Bond, which could prove difficult if Craig’s comment in October is anything to go by when he said he would rather "slash [his] wrists" than come back, although there is hope that he’ll return since he later clarified his comments, saying he has the right to change his mind.

However, Craig is contracted to return as the super spy for another film, whilst Waltz has reportedly signed on for two more Bond adventures.

In Spectre, Waltz’s Oberhauser was revealed to be the iconic and classic Bond villain Blofeld, they want continuity which is why it has to be with Craig’s James Bond.

Waltz returns to Cinemas alongside Alexander Skarsgård and Margot Robbie in David Yates’ The Legend of Tarzan on July 8.
