Creed’s Tessa Thompson joins the MCU as possible Superhero and Love Interest for Chris Hemsworth in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok

Last seen as Bianca in Ryan Coogler’s Creed it has been reported that sought after Actress Tessa Thompson has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as a possible superhero and love interest to Thor in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok.
Deadline reports that Thompson is set to make her debut in the third entry in the Thor franchise as a "kind of superhero" who is set to star in other Marvel films and the love interest to Chris Hemsworth's Thor after reports suggest that Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster won’t return for the threequel.
Thompson and Portman are set to star together in Alex Garland's Annihilation, with word that Thompson will shoot Annihilation before she shoots Thor: Ragnarok.
Set to start shooting in Australia this June, Thor: Ragnarok will see Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner aka The Hulk join forces with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor alongside the returning Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif as well as as a potential MCU debut for Cate Blanchett and could also mark the final MCU outing for Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
With a release date set for November 3 next year, Stellan Skarsgard's Dr Eric Selvig won’t return for Thor: Ragnarok.
