Cygnet Players Present Spring Awakening: A Children’s Tragedy Featuring Screen Rebels Favourite Veronique Piercy this July

The Fan Carpet are delighted to share with you details of an amazing rock musical, Spring Awakening, produced by Cygnet Players, arriving at the Stockwell Playhouse 10th - 13th July. This is a seldom performed, complex rock musical with a powerful story.

The cast is uniformly incredible, and Screen Rebels very own Veronique Piercy, star of so many unforgettable showcases, has been cast as leading female Wendla. We know she is just going to be amazing in this and can't wait to see the first performance!

Winner of eight Tony awards and four Olivier awards, Spring Awakening is a landmark musical that fuses an incredible mix of rock music, sex and 1890s Germany.

Based on the 1891 much-censored play by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening follows a group of adolescent boys and girls as they discover their sexuality. In a world where children are told what to be and what to do, this celebration of rebellion is set against an electrifying score whichis both thrilling and heart-wrenching.
