Dakota Fanning looks like Lolita in disturbing Marc Jacobs ad
Dakota Fanning may only be 17 years old but that hasn't stopped her or Marc Jacobs for that matter expoiting her fame and young age in a highly provocative and sexualised advert for his latest perfume Lola. The ad shows the young Twilight star posing provocatively with a giant bottle of the perfume between her legs and staring at the camera in a seductive and slightly disturbing way.
The 48 year old designer even admits taking inspiration from the Vladimir Nabokov's 1955 novel Lolita, about a tragic young girl seduced by her step Father from the age of 12.
Now I know this is simply a perfume advert, but in this sad world today in which we live, where stories of underage sex and sexual abuse are reported on a daily basis, isn't it time our children weren't being sexualised at such a young age, even if they are as mature as someone like Dakota, whose career has catapulted her into the adult world.
Never the less, it seems Dakota does have a normal life outside of her high profile career, and the teen just graduated High School, and was even crowned Homecoming Queen. She insists she is just a normal teenager, saying; "I have such a normal life when I'm not working... It's just nice to be around people you care about and who know you best."
Dakota, who can be seen in our pictures looking slightly less glamorous whilst waiting for a taxi in NYC, can next be seen in Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1, out in UK cinema's on the 18th of November.
