Dallas Buyers Club Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey lined up for Matthew Michael Carnahan’s Born to Run
Dallas Buyers Club Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey has reportedly been lined up to star in Born to Run.
Deadline reports that the film is based on Christopher McDougall's best-selling book Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen.
Written for the screen by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Born to Run follows an award-winning journalist who travels to Mexico's Copper Canyons to investigate how the Tarahumara Indians manage to run for hundreds of miles without injuring themselves.
McConaughey was last seen in Interstellar and True Detective and is gearing up to star alongside Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the upcoming American Civil War drama from Gary Ross entitled The Free State of Jones.
He'll next be seen in Gus Van Sant's The Sea of Trees alongside Naomi Watts which is awaiting a UK release date.
