Dania Ramirez joins Eddie Kaye Thomas in American Reunion

Dania Ramirez best known for her role of Maya Herrera on the NBC superhero show Heroes has joined the ensemble cast of American Reunion as Trisha.

Ramirez is no stranger to ensemble casts, having played the mutant Callisto in X-Men: The Last Stand, her stint on the hit show Entourage and was most recently seen on the big screen in zombie horror Quarantine.

She joins the returning cast of Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Shannon Elizabeth and Eugene Levy as well as newcomer Katrina Bowden.

Trisha is a love interest for Eddie Kaye Thomas' Finch and described as "the ugly duckling nobody noticed in high school, who has since grown into a beautiful swan".

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg plan to start shooting American Reunion asap for an April 2012 release. As for Ramirez, she will next be seen alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Premium Rush which hits cinemas on February 3 2012.
