18 February 2015

With the Deadpool solo outing picking up steam with Ryan Reynolds returning to his fan favourite role in the Tim Miller, it has emerged that Daniel Cudmore who has portrayed Colossus in the X-Men franchise, will not return to the role for the eagerly awaited film.

Taking to Twitter, Cudmore revealed he won’t return to the role “Thanks everyone for all the support for me 2 reprise the role of #Colossus in #Deadpool but unfortunately it won't be happening for me.

I've had a blast playing such an awesome character over the years! #Deadpool will be kick-ass with #TimMiller and @VancityReynolds #BestFans.”

Cudmore’s Colossus has appeared in X2, X-Men: The Last Stand and last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Cudmore has Stephen Reynolds’ Lockdown alongside Lochlyn Munro ready for release and has Duncan Jones’ long awaited Warcraft adaptation coming to cinemas in 2016.
