Daniel Radcliffe isn’t involved in J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Following the announcement that J.K. Rowling is working on a Harry Potter inspired film series called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, former boy wizard actor Daniel Radcliffe has confirmed that he will have no involvement in the series.
The film will be Rowling's first screenplay since the phenomenal Harry Potter series and will involve magical characters and creatures, including some which have featured in Harry Potter novels in the past.
Last week Rowling said "Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world."
Speaking at a Sky Drama launch today, Radcliffe was asked about his thoughts on the new franchise and joked "I first thought, 'Thanks Jo, I'm going to have to answer tons of questions about this now'.
I'm sure they're going to have a great time making it. I'm sure most people are really excited about it.
Needless to say I wouldn't be involved in it and I guess none of the others will be, but I know absolutely nothing about it."
Radcliffe and Jon Hamm will return for a second series of A Young Doctor's Notebook in November and returns to cinemas with John Krokidas's Kill Your Darlings alongside Elizabeth Olsen on November 8.
