Darryl Baker talks to George Clooney and Evan Rachel Wood at The Ides of March Premiere

25 October 2011

London's Leicester Square was taken over by the star studded premiere of The Ides of March, in attendance were actor and director George Clooney, the gorgeous Evan Rachel Wood, Hollywood great Philip Seymour-Hoffman and screen writer Beau Willimon.

The Fan Carpet were lucky enough to attend and sent Darryl Baker down to the red carpet event that took place during the 55th BFI London Film Festival where she got to speak to George, Evan, Philip and Beau.

When talking about festivals, George Clooney said "You need festivals because festivals can embrace smaller films and this is a very small budget film. We don't have a lot of things exploding so it's not a film we are opening on 3500 screens, it's a place where you can actually have a discussion about movies as opposed to trying to market a film, which is a very different thing."

When talking about the film, Clooney added "We didn't design it to be a civics lesson, we designed it to be entertainment." he joked "there will be a lot less people voting this year."

When talking about George, Evan Rachel Wood said "He's an actor and director, so he knows how to talk to you, he knows what he wants and he's fun, he's really, really fun, always joking around." and Philip Seymour Hoffman added "He's an actor himself, so he knows exactly what to do."

While Beau Willimon said "It's a big honour to be here in London, it's one of my favourite cities in the world. I try to make it out here at least two or three times a year, it's just great to have the film showing here as part of the London Film Festival."
