David Cross says Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked was worst experience of his career

Hollywood funnyman David Cross has revealed that he feels that making Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked was the worst experience of his career.
The Arrested Development star has played record executive Ian Hawke in the franchise based on the popular long running children's cartoon of the 80's has previously defended his work on the franchise when some fans accused him of 'selling out'.
Speaking to indieWIRE, Cross said "This last film was literally, without question, the most unpleasant experience I've ever had in my professional life, it's safe to say I won't be working with some of those people ever again. Not the actors. And the director Mike Mitchell was great. We got along. "There were a couple of people, though… it was just a really awful, unpleasant experience."
However there is some good as the Men in Black actor notes that he's been recognised in remote parts of the world including China, Zimbabwe and "a teeny tiny town in Mozambique".
Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is out now in 3D and features Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Amy Poehler, Jesse McCartney, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate and My Name is Earl's Jason Lee.
Cross will next be seen alongside Ugly Betty's America Ferrera in Todd Berger's big screen comedy It's a Disaster and his television series The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret will return for a second season next year.
