David Fincher set to direct big screen adaptation of Charles Burns’s Black Hole

Brad Pitt's Plan B production company are said to be moving ahead with a big screen adaptation of Charles Burns's Black Hole with David Fincher set to direct report The Hollywood Reporter.

Black Hole was a 12-issue comic book series published between 1995 and 2005 centres around a sexually transmitted disease that plagues the teenagers of a 1970s Seattle suburb.

The infected, who develop random mutations, are drawn into a web of paranoia and murder.

A short film based on Black Hole was previous put together with Snow White and the Huntsman's Rupert Sanders at the helm.
