Demi Lovato will GET SMURFY as Smurfette in new Sony Animated film
With a new ALL ANIMATED feature adventure coming for the beloved Smurfs, it has been announced that songstress Demi Lovato will succeed Katy Perry as the new voice of fan favourite Smurf; Smurfette in Get Smurfy!
Deadline report that Lovato, best known for Sonny with a Chance and Disney's Camp Rock franchise joins the voice cast that includes Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf and Rainn Wilson as the film's villain Gargamel and the film which carries the title of Get Smurfy will set out to tell the origin story of the classic blue creatures.
Get Smurfy is set for release on March 31 2017 having been moved from its August 5 2016 release.
Lovato recently joined the cast of From Dusk Till Dawn and will be heard as Lenore in Ross Venokur's animated tale Charming.
