10 August 2013

With Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo coming our way, Disney have announced the addition of Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy to the Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks lead cast.

Disney/Pixar made the announcement at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California as well as revealing that the film will take place one year after the original and will follow Dory as she tries to find her parents (Keaton and Levy).

DeGeneres has said that the sequel was a long time coming explaining "I waited and I waited and finally I got the call from the director, Andrew Stanton... and he said, 'Yes indeed, we are going to make Toy Story 3'. I said, 'Hooray for Tom Hanks - finally something good for him'.

I'm excited that it's finally happening and I've read the script - it's fantastic, it's hilarious, it's warm, it's everything that you want it to be."

And jokingly added "And here's the good news - they say I'm one of the top five contenders to play the part of Dory!"

Finding Dory will also feature Ty Burrell as a whale named Bailey in the film that will be released in cinemas in November 2015.
