Disney’s Order of the Seven gets a new director

04 August 2011

With current trend of Snow White driven films in development in Hollywood, we now have word about Disney's remake of their classic tale entitled The Order of the Seven.

The film sounds a bit different and reimagines the heroic dwarves as a septet of 19th Century warriors who belong to a faltering, centuries-old order. When they stumble across a young woman in peril, the opportunity presents itself to restore glory to their kind.

Disney have a new director on board in the form of Advert director and visual effects great Michael Gracey who replaces the recently departed I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence.
Toy Story 3’s Michael Arndt is hard at work on the script, and while there is no release date as yet Gracey will start storyboarding the film soon.

This is one of three Snow White projects in development with Tarsem Singh's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White starring the lovely English rose Lily Collins and the action orientated Snow White and the Huntsman from Rupert Sanders that stars Twilight hottie Kristen Stewart.
