He'll next be seen as Hank Parsons in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and word is that Dwayne Johnson is in talks to star in Michael Bay's long awaited bodybuilding crime comedy Pain And Gain.

Pain And Gain takes its basic plot from a 1999 Miami Times article about a true-life crime that focuses on two Florida bodybuilders who become entangled in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme.

The film was written by Captain America: The First Avenger duo Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely back in 2001.

Mark Wahlberg is also wanted for the film, but according to Variety neither he or Johnson are anywhere near locking in a deal to appear, both actors have busy schedules with Johnson having Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and G.I. Joe: Retaliation set to come out in 2012 as well as both new Fast & Furious films and Wahlberg has 2 Guns, Three Mississippi as well as the currently filming Broken City.
