Dwayne Johnson confirms G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes role

Wrestling legend Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he will play Roadblock in the upcoming Jon Chu directed sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
He made the announcement via Twitter where he tweeted “It’s official: Call the Pentagon, get me my big ass gun – Rocks a JOE!.”
It seems that after a string of family films, Johnson is getting back into action roles with such recent efforts as Faster and Fast & Furious 5, however the wrestler turned actor will go on a family friendly adventure in the upcoming Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
He's reported to be joining Channing Tatum's Duke, Ray Park's Snake Eyes and Lee Byung-hun's Storm Shadow.
There is no word yet when Chu will get the cameos rolling, but G.I Joe: Cobra Strikes is expected in cinemas next summer.
