Elisabeth Shue becomes series regular on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

20 November 2011

Oscar nominated actress Elisabeth Shue known for roles in films including Leaving Las Vegas, Hollow Man, The Back to the Future series and is about to head back to Sin City in the twelfth season of Las Vegas based crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Shue will come into the series just as series regular Marg Helgenberger who has played CSI Catherine Willows for eleven seasons prepares to depart and will make her first appearance in the hit show in February.

Executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says "While it's difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character like Catherine Willows, it's exciting to start a journey with a new CSI, especially when that character is played by Elisabeth Shue."

Shue will next be seen as Mary Ann Jones in the musical drama Janie Jones and has completed work on House at the End of the Street which comes to UK cinemas on May 4 and is currently filming Curtis Hanson's Of Men and Mavericks.
