Emma Roberts says she’s matured as an actress

12 December 2011

Rising star Emma Roberts who rose to fame with family friendly films Nancy Drew and Aquamarine says she has matured as an actress over the last few years.

The young starlet who has starred in more serious roles with the likes of Scream 4, 4.3.2.1 and The Art of Getting By tells Yahoo that she is enjoying more "adult" roles as she grows older "I love doing kind of more kiddish-oriented movies, but I also love doing adult things. And I think it's fun to do a mix, you know, things where you're playing your age and things that maybe are more mature.

So, I just kind of take my stuff based on the material and not so much based on how old I'm supposed to be or what the audience is supposed to think."

Roberts will next star opposite Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg in Celeste and Jesse Forever which will be released in 2012 and is gearing up to appear in Scott Coffey's Adult World and has nabbed a lead role in Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers.
