Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds will return to their roles for The Croods 2
Following the success of DreamWorks Animation's The Croods, it has been announced that a sequel will be heading our way with Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds returning to their roles.
Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco who wrote and directed the hit animated comedy confirmed the plans when speaking to ComingSoon with Sanders explaining "There's not much to talk about yet, we've got a big lump of clay and we're forming it as we speak."
Speaking about the strange animals that will feature in the sequel, DeMicco added "There will be lots of good creatures. We've got creatures that never got into the first movie.
We're going to take a very, very close look at those."
Since its release in March, The Croods has taken over $585 million (£372m) at the worldwide box office and saw a caveman family learning to survive in a stone age world and also featured the voices of Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman.
