First Look at Ben Hardy’s Angel in X-Men: Apocalypse concept art

09 April 2015

The Fan Carpet are incredibly excited to share with you the brand new concept art of Ben Hardy's Angel in Bryan Singer's eagerly awaited X-MEN: APOCALYPSE coming in 2016 courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox!

In Marvel Comics lore, Angel is otherwise known as Warren Kenneth Worthington III Angel, being a mutant, originally possesses a pair of large feathered wings extending from his back, enabling him to fly. He is the heir to a multi-billion dollar corporation called Worthington Industries. This privileged background results in Warren being stereotyped a self-absorbed playboy during his early years with the X-Men. This personality was ultimately replaced with a more introspective and brooding personality in the late 1980s, when the character was revamped into the more grim and gritty "Archangel" persona.

From the concept art, it looks as though we could see him as Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse as depicted in the comics.

The plot is unknown at this time, but X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will feature the stellar cast of Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Evan Peters, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Rose Byrne, Ian McKellen and Oscar Isaac as the villainous APOCALYPSE.
