Former Batman Michael Keaton backs Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight
Following the announcement that Ben Affleck will don the coveted cape and cowl for Zack Snyder's Superman vs Batman alongside Henry Cavill, Michael Keaton has praised the casting.
Keaton played the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns in 1989 and 1992 respectively tells TMZ "It's going to be great, Ben will be great."
Keaton is the latest to voice support for Affleck others include life long friend Matt Damon, The Dark Knight Rises star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Avengers Assemble filmmaker Joss Whedon.
Morgan Freeman who played Lucius Fox in The Dark Knight trilogy wished Affleck luck in the role and also voiced his surprise that Warner Bros. recast the role so soon after Christian Bale's departure.
Keaton has Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman, José Padilha's RoboCop and Scott Waugh's Need for Speed in post production and is expected to return to voice Ken for the announced Toy Story 4.
