From TITANIC To THE NOTEBOOK: PRETTY WOMAN Tops List Of OnBuy’s *Sex* Scenes 86% Of Couples Are Recreating At Home
With the sex scenes of the series Bridgerton playing on our minds, and with searches for "sex positions to try" rising by 100%, OnBuy's Adult Division wanted to find out how naughty we’re really getting in lockdown when it comes to being creative in bed.
To do so, they asked 3,680 respondents to choose their favourite movie sex scenes of all time, as well as those they intend to try out with their partners!

First place goes to the infamous piano scorcher between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. 86% of Brits picked this steamy scene with some added keynotes as their favourite, and 65% want to try it out today! Lucky for those with a piano in their living room.
In second place is the iconic car scene from Titanic. Everyone remembers the famous steamy handprint as Jack and Rose’s relationship comes to a climax, with 83% choosing it as their favourite sex scene and 79% wanting to recreate it.
The Notebook takes third place, with the rain-kissing scene being chosen by 81%. Not only is the emotional chemistry between Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling is a seller, but his ability to carry her up the stairs with one hand and his pants around his ankles was particularly impressive. He certainly sets the bar high for a great sexual experience, and 80% of those asked are expecting it.
These are followed by the pottery scene in Ghost, the fight scene in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and the making it happen scene from No Strings Attached, to make fourth, fifth and sixth place – these were favourites of 79%, 75% and 74% of participants respectively.
A list of sex scenes just wouldn’t be complete without Dirty Dancing. Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s captivating performance in this cult classic was chosen by 72% of Brits and placed in seventh. 68% want to get jiggy and recreate the passion like they did.
Interestingly, tenth place goes to a more controversial entry. The beginning scene in the 2002 French psychological thriller Irréversible sets temperature soaring from the get-go, as 67% were turned on by this scene and 71% wanted to give it a go themselves. We’re only glad it wasn’t one of the other scenes participants chose.
