Frozen’s Kristen Bell will star alongside Melissa McCarthy in Michelle Darnell
Veronica Mars favourite Kristen Bell has reportedly joined the cast of Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming comedy Michelle Darnell.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Bell will begin shooting scenes alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kathy Bates and Peter Dinklage in March under the direction of McCarthy's husband Ben Falcone.
Michelle Darnell centres around McCarthy’s Michelle Darnell, a businesswoman who is sent to prison for insider trading. She finds her plan to transform herself into America's latest sweetheart upon release blocked by her victims, who are not eager to forgive her crimes.
She will be helped by her former assistant, played by Bell, who is a single mother trying to set up a cupcake business.
Produced by McCarthy and Falcone's On the Day production company, and Will Ferrell and Adam McKay through Gary Sanchez Productions, Universal Pictures will release Michelle Darnell on April 8 2016.
Bell can currently be seen as Jeannie Van Der Hooven in House of Lies and reprises her role of Ana in Disney’s short Frozen Fever which is currently in post production.
