Gal Gadot turned down villain role in Man of Steel before landing coveted Wonder Woman role
Whilst she will debut as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman in the eagerly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next March, Gal Gadot has revealed that she turned down a role as a villain in 2013's Man of Steel.
Speaking to xnet, the Fast and Furious franchise alumni revealed that she couldn't take on the part as she was pregnant at the time, admitting that she would have jumped at the chance had she been available, but is glad she is now able to play Wonder Woman instead.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits cinemas on March 25 next year, and Gadot recently revealed that she didn't initially know she was auditioning to play Wonder Woman when she did a reading for the Zack Snyder film.
As well as debuting the iconic super heroine in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gadot will also feature as Wonder Woman in 2017’s solo outing.
