Game of Thrones favourite Maisie Williams rumoured to have been cast as Wolfsbane in Josh Boone’s New Mutants
Whilst she returns to Westeros this April for the eagerly awaited sixth season of HBO favourite Game of Thrones, it has been rumoured that series favourite Maisie Williams has joined the cast of 20th Century Fox’s New Mutants spinoff.
HitFix report that Williams will play the shapeshifting mutant Wolfsbane, alongside The Witch’s breakout star Anya Taylor-Joy as Colossus's troubled young sister Magik.
It is also believed that X-Men: Apocalypse’s Alexandra Shipp and James McAvoy will reprise their roles of Storm and Professor X respectively.
If the rumour proves to be true, Williams will be the second sought after Actress from House Stark to join the X-Men franchise, following Sophie Turner as Jean Grey in the aforementioned X-Men: Apocalypse.
Director Josh Boone has promised "some familiar faces" in New Mutants, and whilst it doesn’t have a release date, the next entry in the X-Men franchise hits Cinemas on May 19.
