Game of Thrones favourite Maisie Williams wants Ellie role in The Last of Us adaptation

Following the release of the Game of Thrones Season 5 trailer, it has emerged that Game of Thrones favourite Maisie Williams has expressed a desire to play Ellie in The Last of Us big screen adaptation.
Williams who will be seen in Carol Morley’s The Falling this April took part in a Reddit AMA and said of the long awaited The Last of Us project is in very early days "I have spoken to powerful people who are getting The Last of Us on its feet. And I'm hopeful that I can play Ellie in the future, but we'll all have to wait and see."
Neil Druckmann who is writing the film adaptation recently said that The Last of Us adaptation will be 'pretty faithful' to the PlayStation blockbuster, and whilst there is no release date for the film, it will be produced in collaboration with Spider-Man trilogy and Evil Dead trilogy director Sam Raimi.
The hugely popular The Last of Us video game arrived on PS3 in June 2013, Naughty Dog has since released The Last of Us: Remastered on PS4.
Williams is gearing up to star alongside Jessica Biel in Bill Purple’s drama The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.
