Game of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor lands Thor sequel
After Patty Jenkins' unexpected departure from the hotly anticipated Thor sequel the hunt has been on for someone to fill the void and Deadline report that the man for the job is none other than Game of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor.
Taylor has also directed episodes of other television favourites including Boardwalk Empire and Nurse Jackie and the news puts the film back on track to meet its November 15 2013 release date.
Chris Hemsworth who reprises his role of the titular hero in next summers The Avengers will return for the sequel as the hammer wielding Asgardian as well as see Oscar winner Natalie Portman back as Jane Foster.
Don Payne who co-wrote the $448 million worldwide grossing original is on writing duties for the sequel.
