Gary Oldman signs to Kung Fu Panda Sequel

Hollywood legend Gary Oldman has signed to voice mysterious Peacock in the upcoming sequel to 'Kung Fu Panda', aptly titled 'Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom' it'll follow Po (Jack Black) as he searches for other pandas and runs afoul of a group of bandits. Oldman’s tonsil talents will be used for a feathered character named Peacock, who will help our hero track down the bad guys, but then turns out to be more than he claims.

Oldman, meanwhile, has a history with ‘toons - only last year, he voiced a character in Planet 51 and stepped into a performance capture suit to play multiple roles in A Christmas Carol.

It was recently reported that Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) has come on board to touch up the script for "Kung Fu Panda 2," which is directed by Jennifer Yuh and is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2011.
