The sequel to 2006 hit 300 that carries the title 300: Battle of Artemisia will reportedly have appearances from King Leonidas and Queen Gorgo who were played by Gerard Butler and Lena Headey respectively.

According to a report picked up by Fandango, the sequel's producer Bernie Goldmann said small parts have been written into the film's script allowing the actors to reprise their roles. "It's a different story, there is a small part for Lena. There's a small part for Gerry."

Goldmann also revealed that the film will likely feature unknown actors in the lead roles, to ensure the experience is authentic adding "When you make a period movie like that, it's great not to know the actors, for me, as an audience, it always brings me into the movie more.

You can't see Tom Cruise in a historical movie. You go, 'That's Tom Cruise!'"

300: Battle of Artemisia used to carry the title Xerses and has Noam Murro calling the shots from a script by Kurt Johnstad and 300 director Zack Snyder based on the Frank Miller novel and will come to cinemas in 2012.
