Gina Carano cast as Angel Dust alongside Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool
Gina Carano who featured in Haywire and Fast & Furious 6 has been cast alongside Ryan Reynolds in the long awaited Deadpool adaptation from 20th Century Fox.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Carano will play Angel Dust who in Marvel Comics lore was part of an underground mutant group known as The Morlocks.
Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool will see Reynolds reprising his role from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Deadpool goes into production in Vancouver in March.
Produced by X-Men: Days of Future Past and Fantastic Four writer Simon Kinberg who already revealed the character will tie in with the otherX-Men films, saying "There's definitely a sort of overall plan that we've all been talking about for the X-Men universe now and Deadpool obviously fits into that."
Carano is filming John Stockwell’s Kickboxer: Vengeance alongside Dave Bautista and has Scott Mann’s Bus 657 with Mark-Paul Gosselaar in post production and Extraction alongside Bruce Willis coming in 2016.
