30 October 2017

Hammering into UK cinemas this week Thor: Ragnarok caused a storm, grossing an estimated god-like £12m during its full 6 day opening - making it the 4th biggest opening weekend (including previews) of 2017, behind Disney’s own Beauty and the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2. and Universal’s Fate of the Furious.

Banking an impressive £6.8m during the three day weekend itself, the Norse God also takes home the trophy for the biggest non-James Bond October opening weekend of all time in the UK/Ireland.

At the international box office Thor and Hulk smashed onto the scene and grossed as estimated $107.6m during the opening weekend.

The latest instalment from Marvels cinematic universe electrified press and audiences with its humour, colour, wit and fun, being certified as fresh with a massive 96% on Rotten Tomatoes;
