Golden Globe awards nominations announced

As 2011 draws to a close, the nominations for next year's Golden Globes have been announced.

Hosted once again by controversial British comedian Ricky Gervais, the Golden Globes see Tilda Swinton nominated for Best Actress for We Need to Talk about Kevin and have been dominated by a silent film next year, with six-times nominated The Artist leading the pack.
