The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is currently playing across the UK, rising sought after star Rooney Mara has revealed that there are "so many different things" that she loves about her character.

The Social Network actress tells Parade magazine "I spent over a year with the character and there are so many different things that I love about her, I think the thing that makes her such a compelling character is that you do sort of fall instantly in love with her, but at the same time you don't always agree with what she's doing and you also question her and you get frustrated by her. She's just an incredibly multi-layered character."

Golden Globe nominated Mara is set to star alongside The Dark Knight Rises villain Tom Hardy in Kathryn Bigelow's Untitled International Thriller about the hunt for Osama bin Laden as well as teaming with the caped crusader Christian Bale in Terrence Malick's Lawless.
