Guy Ritchie wanted for The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
With the void left by the departure of prolific director Steven Soderbergh from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Warner Bros. are looking at Sherlock Holmes franchise director Guy Ritchie to fill the position.
Word is that Ritchie is in the process of sealing a deal to direct, and he could turn out to be producer too since he's setting up a production company with Holmes producer Lionel Wigram.
If Ritchie seals the deal, he'll be bringing to life the adventures of Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, two agents whose task is to fight evil around the world from a script by Contagion’s Scott Z Burns.
The production has been riddled with troubles ever since George Clooney bowed out of the lead role, but with Channing Tatum reported to be interested, things could be looking up.
