Gwyneth Paltrow makes it to the UK to talk to Jonathan Ross

23 April 2010

Due to the continuing air travel uncertainty, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment took the decision Monday to move the IRON MAN 2 World Premiere and junket to Los Angeles.  (Boo!)

However, with things slowly geting back to normal Gwyneth Paltrow manages to makes it into the UK for a chat on Wossy's sofa.

The UK premiere is now a special screening at the Vue Westfield, the original venue for the World Premiere on 26th April.

When Gwyneth Paltrow signed up for the first Iron Man film she placed her trust in the considerable talents of director Jon Favreau because, as she points out, while she was making it she really had no idea how it would turn out - just a hunch that the director was about to deliver something special.

She was, therefore, delighted to be back on board, playing Pepper Potts once again for Iron Man 2. The movie starts six months after the first one ended and Stark is living under intense media scrutiny and political pressure now that the world knows that he is Iron Man.

Revealing Stark as Iron Man marked the movie out to be very different from others in the same comic book genre, says Paltrow. "I do think it was a very fresh thing to do," she says.
