Harrison Ford set to saddle up as Wyatt Earp in Black Hats

After playing Colonel Dolarhyde in Cowboys & Aliens, it seems Harrison Ford is set to saddle up again, this time as famed lawman Wyatt Earp in Black Hats.
Adapted from Max Allan Collins’ novel which merges fact and fiction sees Earp in his later life as a private eye and film consultant in LA where he discovers his old friend Doc Holliday died in New York and had a son. With the son now in trouble with Al Capone he figures he should help.
He recruits former deputy Bat Masterson – who is now a noted sports writer – to take on Capone’s gang in a battle of Tommy guns versus six-shooters.
Battle of Artemisia scribe Kurt Johnstad is on writing duties and will start with the book and while there's no word on a director yet, the prospect of Ford battling gangsters is enough to get us excited.
