But after encountering Sirius in his Animaji form (a big black dog) they find out that he was in fact Lilly and James’ friend. Sirius was not the person who betrayed them all along – it was Peter Pettigrew, who is his Animaji form is none other than Ron’s pet rat Scabbers! Phew, what a lot of revelations for one scene! |
The Tri-Wizard Tournament In the Tri-Wizard Tournament we see Harry battle through murky underwater obstacles, dodge dragons and find his way through scary mazes. All the while he is competing against visiting students from the schools of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. The first ones to complete all the tasks the Hogwarts contestants (Harry and Cedric Digory), but unbeknown to them, the goblet itself is actually a portkey that transports them to an awaiting Voldemort... |

When the time comes, after lots of failed attempts at poisoning and cursing, Draco gets Dumbledore alone and holds him at wand-point. Draco, however, can’t bring himself to kill his headmaster, so Professor Snape, (who has sworn an unbreakable promise to assist Draco in his task) steps in and kills the old wizard. Dumbledore falls lifelessly from the Hogwarts tower to the courtyard below. Hogwarts students then hold a wand’lit vigil for him; their goodness driving Voldemort’s signature from the sky. |

Snape’s memories also tell him that he is actually the last Horcrux. Thanks to Voldemort’s failure to kill Harry when he was a baby, Harry now holds the seventh piece of Voldemort’s soul, which explains their strange connection. Harry realises he must die in order to finally destroy Voldemort and save the world. He goes off to the Forbidden Forest to meet him for the last time, where Voldemort hits him with a killing curse. In death Harry is transported to a limbo’like place where the spirit of Dumbledore greets him. Dumbledore tells him that the last piece of Voldemort’s soul was destroyed by his own killing curse – Harry returns to his body and continues the fight with Voldemort. Eventually the Dark Lord’s curse rebounds and kills himself – leaving Harry the victor. |
