HIGHLAND FILM GROUP to sell Worldwide Rights to SCOTT MANN’S Action Thriller FINAL SCORE

05 February 2016

Signature Entertainment and The Fyzz Facility Production to Lens at London’s Iconic Upton Park Stadium

Highland Film Group (HFG) announced today that they will sell the international rights to Final Score, with Scott Mann (Heist, The Tournament) attached to direct. The action-packed thriller, which is penned by The Brothers Lynch, will be filmed at West Ham United’s world renowned Upton Park Stadium in London. Signature’s Marc Goldberg will produce with The Fyzz Facility’s Wayne Marc Godfrey (The Foreigner, Bone Tomahawk) and Robert Jones (The Usual Suspects, Babylon). Highland Film Group’s Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier will executive produce and handle the worldwide sales rights, introducing the film in Berlin. Casting is currently underway for a summer/fall start date. Signature will give Final Score a wide theatrical release in the UK in 2017.

Final Score takes place at a major sporting event, during which the stadium is seized by a group of heavily armed criminals demanding ransom. An ex-soldier must use all his military skills to save the 35,000 capacity crowd, one of which is the daughter of his fallen comrade.

The main shooting location for Final Score will be Upton Park, a famous London landmark that has been the home of Premier League soccer club West Ham United for over 100 years. West Ham United will be relocating to the 2012 Olympic Stadium in East London at the end of the 2016 soccer season and the production team has scored a major coup by securing use of the venue before it is handed over to a British property developer.

Signature’s Marc Goldberg commented “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to film in this unique and legendary location. The premiership is the biggest football league in the world and their impending move from Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium has been reported globally. We have a stellar team looking to deliver a $20million non-stop action, world class film with a one off unique opportunity to utilize an iconic stadium before it’s demolished. Imagine Die Hard in a Soccer Stadium.”

Fyzz’s Robert Jones added “To be able to stage such an ambitious story in a once in a lifetime location provides incredible visual opportunities and incomparable production values. We are confident that this, along with an exciting director in Scott Mann and compelling character roles, will attract a cast that makes for a real event movie, punching far above its weight in terms of audience appeal.”

Highland Film Group’s Arianne Frasier and Delphine Perrier said “We were drawn in by the script immediately as well as the size and scope of the production which is set in one of the worlds most renowned venues. We’ve been successful in the action genre and have no doubt Final Score will resonate worldwide.”

Scott Mann is represented by Independent Talent Group and Aperture Entertainment.

Highland Film Group recently wrapped principal photography on Lin Oeding’s thriller Braven starring Jason Momoa. Their slate includes: Kevin Connolly’s Gotti starring John Travolta; Elliott Lester’s 478 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger; Blink starring Jamie Foxx; Steven C. Miller’s Marauders starring Bruce Willis; the Brewer Brothers’ The Trust starring Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood; and Osgood Perkins' February starring Emma Roberts which had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival where is was acquired by A24.
