23 September 2009
The story of the one of one of the biggest bank robberies in the world is to be made into a big budget Hollywood movie.
Darren Aronofsky will direct the film, which will be based on the book Heist by Howard Sounes.
The book was an inside look at the £53 million armed robbery at a security depot in Kent. The robbers obtained the cast after kidnapping the depot manager and his family. They even left behind over £150 million because they couldn't fit it in their getaway vehicle.
Five people were jailed for their part in the robbery.
