Horrible Bosses helmer Seth Gordon talks WarGames

With the release of his forth coming comedy Horrible Bosses is just around the corner, but director Seth Gordon has spoken out about his upcoming reboot to WarGames.
When WarGames was first conceived back in 1983, it told the story of a teenage boy who discovers that his computer game has the ability to launch real-life missiles.
Gordon admits that it's a big project and said he'll focus on it immediately but not exclusively stating “It will take a long time ‘cause we have to write it and then cast it. It’s a lot of steps. I’m hoping to get that going, and also sneak a smaller film in between.”
What attracted him to the remake you may wonder well Gordon says “I love the original. I’m a bit of a hacker fanatic, and know a fair bit about that industry and cyber crime and cyber warfare. I have a real point-of-view on the material and how things have changed.
And also, I think the politics of the world have changed in really fascinating ways since 1983. There’s no longer a monolithic evil empire somewhere, spreading a different philosophy of life. That doesn’t exist.
It’s a much more complicated, nuanced, political world we’re in, and I think that actually makes for a more interesting plot to tell. Frankly, cyber attack is a lot more real.”
The King of Kong directors latest offering stars Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland, Julie Bowen and Lindsay Sloane and will arrive in cinemas on July 22.
