Howard J Ford’s child abduction thriller NEVER LET GO wins Best Independent Feature at last night’s National Film Awards
Acclaimed director Howard J Ford's latest feature NEVER LET GO, which received its world premiere at FrightFest 2015, won Best Independent Feature at last night’s National Film Awards, beating of the likes of ‘Carol’ and ‘The Gunman’.
The gripping child abduction thriller, featuring a stand-out performance from Angela Dixon and co-starring Heather Peace, is currently repped by Archstone and has been sold to twenty-one territories. The US and UK rights are currently being discussed.
Writer/Director Howard, famed for the 'The Dead' 1 & 2, said today 'This award was totally unexpected and I’m so proud of everyone involved. It was a massively harrowing journey making this film but this award vindicates all the hard work, sacrifices and dedication shown”.
He added about the film “I want to take audiences on a very believable but nerve shredding journey that throws them into the visceral plight that is the worst fear of parents everywhere. Angela Dixon, who plays the mother, absolutely nails the role and is supported admirably by a strong female-led cast”.
Shot under wraps in Morocco, Spain US and the UK, the action thriller follows the harrowing journey of Lisa, a single mother (played by Angela Dixon) whose daughter is abducted whilst on holiday. In a desperate race against time Lisa will stop at nothing to find her missing child. Also starring is Bafta award winning actress Lisa Eichhorn.
The film is a Latitude Films presentation of a Howard J Ford film, starring Angela Dixon, Rami Nasr, Nigel Whitmey, Velibor Topic, Heather Peace, Sarah Perles, Michael Xavier, Samantha Bolter, Lisa Eichhorn. Sanita Simms and Glenn Salvage.
