Is new Rambo a sci-fi film?

Surprise news for Rambo fans - the action hero is to to head into science fiction territory.

Sylvester Stallone recently revealed that Rambo 5 was in the works, with the rumoured plot to involve John Rambo tracking down a kidnapped girl in Mexico.

However, Stallone has rubbished those reports - telling Aint It Cool News that the new film will have a science fiction twist.

This time the character will be up against a gentically modified solder.

He said, "It's not a super-soldier, it's a feral beast; a thing. It's this amalgamation of fury and intelligence - it's inhuman! It's man's 'concious' fighting his dark, uncontrollable unconcious. It has absolute cunning and intelligence and a will to survive that is only matched by Rambo's."
