Adding another tentacle to the Paramount+ West End takeover, the streaming service is bringing SpongeBob SquarePants and Kamp Koral to London’s glitzy Leicester Square for a 3-day experience. Fans will get to explore the iconic Pineapple House, frolic amongst the bubbles and for a limited time have the opportunity to meet SpongeBob himself.

Families and friends of all ages will be able to visit Leicester SquarePants for free from Friday 24th June until Sunday 26th June. The transformation is part of the month-long celebration of the new streaming service Paramount+, which has joined forces with London’s West End in a world-first partnership and takeover event this summer.

  • From the 24th June for 3 days, Leicester Square Gardens will be filled to the brim with SpongeBob SquarePants and Kamp Koral themed fun
  • Visitors can explore SpongeBob’s iconic house, play amongst the bubbles and capture the moment using a bespoke augmented reality experience
  • The LEICESTER SQUAREPANTS takeover is one of several activations across the West End available to visit this summer, including The Paramount+ Experience in Piccadilly Circus and the Walk of Stars suspended across four of the West End’s busiest streets
  • Launching June 22nd, Paramount+ is the brand-new streaming service with blockbuster movies, new originals and a huge variety of iconic drama, action, reality, comedy, docs and kids shows. Get ready for a mountain of entertainment.

This weekend fans of SpongeBob SquarePants are in for an aquatic treat as Bikini Bottom’s famous resident SpongeBob SquarePants will pitch his Pineapple House in Leicester Square Gardens in a walk-through experience perfect for families and fans of all ages.

Becoming Leicester SquarePants across the three days from Friday 24th June, the home of Hollywood premieres will play host to the award-winning character, first created in 1999 and since featuring in several hugely popular spin-offs including prequel Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, available from 22nd June on streaming service Paramount+.

The interactive experience will feature a full recreation of SpongeBob’s Pineapple House and underwater surrounding including companion Gary the Snail, bubble displays and free ‘Mini Patty’ sliders on Friday, along with an immersive augmented reality experience that gives fans the chance to fully submerge themselves in a Kamp Koral environment.

Leicester SquarePants is a free to visit three day experience and is part of a month-long Paramount+ Summit of Stars that also includes over 50 illuminated stars suspended across the busiest streets in the West End and an exciting pop-up in Piccadilly Circus, The Paramount+ Experience.

The takeover, which has been planned in partnership with Heart of London Business Alliance and Westminster City Council, runs from 10am until 6pm each day on 24th June until the 26th June.

The transformation is part of the month-long celebration of the newest streaming service Paramount+, which has joined forces with London’s West End in a world-first partnership and takeover event this summer. Fans of titles such as HALO, Transformers, Star Trek and Scream can experience a mountain of entertainment in the capital including:

  • The Paramount+ Experience - a pop-up experience in Piccadilly Circus which gives fans the chance to immerse themselves in their favourite films and shows through set experiences, memorabilia and stunt experiences.
  • Paramount Walk of Stars - Over 50 illuminated stars spanning four of the West End’s busiest streets, will honour Paramount legends, including Sylvester Stallone, Bryan Cranston, Gillian Anderson, Michelle Pfeiffer and Viola Davis, whilst other stars will be based on hit movies and shows including Transformers, Star Trek and Scream.
  • HALO Installation - features an extraordinary HALO installation, bringing the eternal battle between the UNSC and the Covenant to the streets of the capital.

Bringing Hollywood to the heart of London for visitors, each installation, experience and pop-up will be connected by augmented reality, meaning passersby can interact with the iconic films and shows displayed on the Walk Of Stars or even enjoy an aquatic adventure with SpongeBob and his friends in Leicester SquarePants.

Paramount+ launched in the UK on 22nd June 2022.
