James Wan reportedly in line to direct Jason Momoa’s Aquaman
Following the success of Fast & Furious 7, it has been revealed that director James Wan is in line to helm the forthcoming adaptation of Aquaman.
According to reports, Warner Bros have held preliminary talks with Wan regarding the DC Cinematic Universe entry that will see Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, the ruler of Atlantis.
Despite their meetings, The Hollywood Reporter say that the studio has yet to make Wan an offer for the superhero film.
The progression of the deal could be affected by the director's ties to Universal's Furious franchise.
Momoa will debut as Aquaman in the eagerly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the trailer for the eagerly awaited superhero epic will debut next month with George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road.
Wan is currently prepping for the hotly anticipated horror sequel The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, which is due to begin filming in the autumn.
Aquaman is set to hit cinemas on July 27 2018.
