Jedward to star in Lord of the Rings prequel

X Factor stars John and Edward are to audition for a part as dwarves in The Hobbit, according to reports.
The pop star twins have been asked by Peter Jackson to try out for the part of the twin dwarves Fili and Kili in the blockbuster prequel to The Lord of the Rings.
An insider told The Sun, "Peter is keen to see if Jedward have any acting ability. He needs twins for these parts and they have a perfect look for the film. But the characters have very prominent roles.
"The big question is whether Jedward could settle down on a major shoot because they are so excitable and hyperactive."
Filming on The Hobbit, which will be split into two parts, will begin in the summer of 2010.
