Jeff Brown’s Flat Stanley coming to the big screen

10 August 2011

The best loved children's book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown is set to become a mayor motion picture  with Walden Media buying the rights to the series.

For those unfamiliar with the story Flat Stanley is Stanley Lambchop a young boy who is left one-dimensional when he's flattened by a falling bulletin board.

Stanley uses his altered state to slide under doors, acting like a kite for his little brother and generally getting into all manner of one-dimensional antics.

Producer John Carls and his Wild Things Productions are onboard and brought us Where The Wild Things Are and Rango. They are currently looking for a director to bring Flat Stanley to the big screen.

The film will go the live action route using special effects to create the impression of a one-dimensional boy in a three-dimensional worl resisting the temptation of animation.
