Jessica Biel says her fight scene with Kate Beckinsale in Total Recall isn’t overtly sexy

14 March 2012

She was last seen in Garry Marshall's ensemble rom-com New Year's Eve and Jessica Biel who has starred in action films including Blade: Trinity and The A-Team has discussed her fight scene with Kate Beckinsale in Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake.

The gorgeous future Mrs. Timberlake tells W magazine "Fun - so fun! Our fight scene isn't overtly sexy - just two trained fighters who happen to be women kicking the s**t out of each other.

It could be two dudes, but we just happened to have long hair and boobs and... other things."

In Total Recall, Biel plays a freedom fighter named Melina who teams up with factory worker Doug Quaid (Colin Farrell) to fight against their corrupt government while Beckinsale stars as Quaid's wife Lori and she adds that it is the first time she has fought with a girl in a film "Kate and I usually fight men in movies, and when you knock into a man, he doesn't care, but every two seconds, Kate and I were saying, 'I'm so sorry - are you okay?'

We were both so nervous about fighting another woman. Which is strange, because I have no problem fighting with a guy. In truth, I like doing anything that requires breaking a sweat."

Biel is currently filming Francesca Gregorini's Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes with Alfred Molina and has The Tall Man ready for release, she also has Nailed and Playing the Field in post production.

The Total Recall remake hits cinemas on August 22 and features the stellar cast of Ethan Hawke, Bryan Cranston, John Cho and Bill Nighy.
