Joel Kinnaman reported to be the frontrunner to be Rick Flag in Suicide Squad

If reports are to be believed it looks as though Warner Bros have found their Rick Flag in the eagerly awaited Suicide Squad adaptation, with word that RoboCop and The Killing star Joel Kinnaman is in talks to replace Tom Hardy as the leader of the team of super villains.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Kinnaman is in talks for the role that will see him as Rick Flag, the leader of the special operations team that consists of Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Focus duo Will Smith and Margot Robbie as Deadshot and Harley Quinn.
Jared Leto has been cast as the Joker and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Whilst Kinnaman is the favourite for the role in David Ayer’s film, other names attached to the role are Exodus: Gods and Kings star Joel Edgerton and Snitch’s Jon Bernthal.
Suicide Squad is due out next year, and is the second film in DC’s slate.
