John Malkovich joins Nicolai Lilin

Hollywood icon John Malkovich who can currently seen in Transformers: Dark of the Moon has signed on to the forth coming adaptation of Nicolai Lilin’s autobiography Serbian Education.
Set between the years of 1985 and 1995 and tells the story of a grand father who takes it upon himself to teach grandson Kolyma (Arnas Fedaravicius) the morals of the honest criminal against the back drop of an area between Moldova and Ukraine called Transnistria that still enforces a strict moral code.
The script is a collaboration between Stefano Rulli, Sandro Petraglia and I'm Not Scared director Gabriele Salvatores while Malkovich is up for the role of the grand father.
